Installed Trowel beta. Worked great.
Just installed Trowel 1.0 over old Trowel. Trowel is now “invisible”. Can’t find Trowel > Preferences to install twitter acct info.
Reverted back to beta. Works OK, but can’t still can’t find Trowel Preferences.
What’s the “secret”?
MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.2.

Hi, I have refactored trowel into something I’m now using: http://www.xs4all.nl/~ipenburg/trowel
Does the original have some copyrights or something I need to mention? I might make a proper CPAN release out of it with some more testing and was wondering how you perhaps wanted the name and attribution done.

Nice code, I’m using it all the time. My only request is that you get the links embedded in tweets to work.

I expect Apple hardware to be discounted and the OS to be given away for free in the the next 10 years as more and more revenue comes from providing the content to the devices not the devices themselves.

Excellent script! Thank you for sharing.
Do you have an idea how the communication with Twitter could be done using https instead of http? I don’t like the idea of having my user/pass sent in plain text.

If you get the “-T is on the #! line…”, either run it with “perl -T ./growl_tweet.pl” or make it executable with “chmod +x growl_tweet.pl” and then run it directly via “./growl_tweet.pl”.

I have the Apple Developper Tools, and installed all the scripts properly, but the last one just doesn’t work.
